A good start: warmth and light
Warm sowing can be done indoors or in a heated greenhouse. After germination, every seedling needs enough light. A dark attic needs grow lights. An unheated greenhouse can become very cold at night: measure the temperature and check the advice for your crop.

- Germination and temperature
- Wacht op bewerkbare, opgewarmde grond; volg de minimale zaaitemperatuur van het ras.

- Pricking out and potting on
- Niet verspenen. Dun ter plekke uit; verplanten kan de penwortel beschadigen.
- Hardening off and planting out
- Blijft op de zaaiplek; afharden en uitplanten zijn bij directe zaai niet nodig.
Gebruik diepe, weinig verdichte grond. Een warm bakje op zolder is voor deze wortelteelt geen geschikte voorzaairoute.
