A good start: warmth and light
Warm sowing can be done indoors or in a heated greenhouse. After germination, every seedling needs enough light. A dark attic needs grow lights. An unheated greenhouse can become very cold at night: measure the temperature and check the advice for your crop.

- Germination and temperature
- Geen warme kiemtray nodig; kies passend plantgoed en goed afwaterende grond.
- After emergence
- Laat de tenen in goed afwaterende grond wortelen. Houd potjes buiten of beschut; voorkom langdurig natte grond.
- Pricking out and potting on
- Niet verspenen: je plant tenen. Potjes worden later met de hele kluit uitgeplant.
- Hardening off and planting out
- Plant tenen direct. Bij zeer natte grond kun je ze volgens productadvies eerst in potjes laten wortelen.
Herfst- en voorjaarsknoflook zijn niet uitwisselbaar. Olifantenknoflook is een verwant van prei; gebruik het eigen plantgoedadvies.
